Nowruz - Oldest Festival Of Humanity
Nowruz is the name of the Persian New Year.
Nowruz marks the first day of spring or Equinox as and the beginning of the year in the Persian calendar. It is celebrated on the day of the astronomical Northward equinox, which usually occurs on March 21 or the previous/following day depending on where it is observed. The moment the sun crosses the celestial equator and equalizes night and day is calculated exactly every year and families gather together to observe the rituals.
Nowruz is celebrated by people from diverse ethnic communities and religious backgrounds for thousands of years. It is a secular holiday that is enjoyed by people of several different faiths. It originated in Persia in one of the capitals of the Achaemenid empire in Persis (Fars) in Iran and is also celebrated by the cultural region that came under Iranian influence or had migrations by Persians including Azerbaijan, the North Caucasus, Kurdish inhabited regions of eastern Turkey and Northern Iraq, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and other scattered populations in Central Asia.
Tour’s plan by day (itinerary):
Day 1 (19.03):
Arrive in Dushanbe airport. Transfer to the hotel, accommodation and rest. After Lunch preparation for the holiday. Visit local Bazar, we will see that the local people are buying for the festive table. Lunch in local restaurant and the continuation of the excursion visit local family house. See a large Tajik family and their neighbors and friends prepare the main dish of the holiday of Navruz - Sumalak. Walking through the city. Dinner in a national restaurant
Day 2 (20.03):
Morning visit concert festival of Nowruz at the racecourse. After the concert, visit the festival.
Lunch and dinner at Tajik families.
Day 3 (21.03):
Departure from the city to visit the traditional game Buzkashi and traditional wrestling Gushtin.
Day 4 (22.03):
After breakfast half day sightseeing in Dushanbe and Hissar.
Day 5 (23.03):
After breakfast Drive to Khujand through Anzob and Shahristan passes. On the way visit Istaravshan city with bazar and fortress Mugteppa.
After sightseeing drive to Khujand. Accomodation in hotel dinner and rest.
Day 6 (24.03):
After breakfast full day sightseeing in Khujand: visit bazar and museum of history.
Day 7 (25.03):
After breakfast departure to Dushanbe. Accomodation in hotel, freetime, dinner and rest.
Day 8 (26.03):
Flight back home.
